This five-day family tour offers an intimate experience, ensuring personalized attention throughout your journey. Travel in a custom safari Jeep with a pop-up roof, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide/driver and a skilled chef to cater to your culinary needs.

Our adventure begins with a tour of the renowned northern circuit parks, starting with the Serengeti, famous for its annual migration of over a million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras. Next, we’ll explore the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, known for its stunning landscapes and unparalleled wildlife sightings on the crater floor.

Tarangire National Park awaits, offering a captivating experience with its abundance of elephants and diverse wildlife. Finally, we’ll conclude our journey with a visit to Lake Manyara Park, renowned for its flamingoes and elusive tree-climbing lions.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

We’ll start our adventure by picking you up from your hotel and introducing you to our knowledgeable guide and talented chef. From there, we’ll embark on a scenic 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, celebrated for its diverse landscapes and iconic Ancient Baobab trees. As we journey through the park, keep your eyes peeled for the majestic elephants, as Tarangire boasts the largest concentration of these magnificent creatures in the entire country.

Our game drive through the park will offer exciting opportunities to spot a variety of wildlife, including elusive predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as abundant herbivores such as giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras.

We’ll pause for a delightful picnic lunch at the picturesque Tarangire River picnic site, where you can enjoy the serene view of the river and observe the playful antics of small monkeys and baboons. Don’t worry, they’re just curious!

After lunch, we’ll resume our game drive, soaking in the beauty of Tarangire until it’s time to exit the park around 4:30 pm.

Following our thrilling safari adventure, we’ll head to our accommodation at Mto Wa Mbu, where you can unwind and relive the day’s unforgettable moments. Meals, including lunch and dinner, will be provided, ensuring you have a comfortable and satisfying stay.

Day 2: Mto wa mbu to Serengeti National Park

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we’ll embark on a scenic drive from Mto Wa Mbu to Serengeti. The journey, which takes approximately 6 hours including stops, will lead us through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

During our journey, we’ll make a brief stop at the gate and viewpoint of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll be treated to awe-inspiring views of the crater. This stop will offer a wonderful opportunity to capture some memorable photographs.

Additionally, we’ll have the option to visit a Maasai village along the way. This cultural experience allows you to immerse yourself in the traditions of the Maasai tribe, known for their bravery and unique way of life. While some traditional practices, such as lion hunting, are no longer common, you’ll have the chance to learn about their rich heritage and customs.

Continuing our journey, we’ll enter the vast expanse of Serengeti National Park, renowned for its expansive landscapes and remarkable wildlife. Covering over 14,750 square kilometers, Serengeti is famous for its annual wildebeest and zebra migration, a spectacle that attracts visitors from around the globe.

Our focus will be on exploring the Seronera area, situated at the heart of Serengeti. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch before embarking on an exhilarating game drive. As the sun sets over the Serengeti, we’ll have the opportunity to witness the magical sight of wild animals in their natural habitat, perhaps even catching a glimpse of predators in action.

After our thrilling game drive, we’ll head to our accommodation at Serengeti Matawi Camp. Here, you’ll enjoy a comfortable dinner and a peaceful overnight stay, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Rise and shine! The day begins early at 6:00 am with a steaming cup of coffee to kickstart your morning adventure. After fueling up, we’ll set out from the campsite for a captivating morning game drive in the heart of Serengeti National Park. As the sun rises over the horizon, illuminating the vast plains with its golden hues, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking spectacle of nature.

While the morning air may be crisp, the excitement of spotting wildlife in their natural habitat will keep you warm. Be sure to dress warmly to ward off the chill, and don’t forget your camera to capture the stunning sunrise and the wildlife encounters along the way.

We’ll continue our game viewing excursion until midday, when we’ll return to the camp for a sumptuous full breakfast and a well-deserved rest. Refueled and reenergized, we’ll enjoy a hearty lunch before departing for our next destination.

As we journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, we’ll have the pleasure of a game drive en route, allowing us to soak in the scenic beauty and wildlife sightings along the way. Our ultimate destination is the Ang’ata Camp in Ngorongoro, where we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and settle in for a restful overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

After indulging in a hearty breakfast and packing a picnic lunch, we’ll embark on our final adventure of this unforgettable Tanzania safari. Our journey will take us to the descending gate of the Ngorongoro Crater, where we’ll begin our descent down to the crater floor, a remarkable 650 meters deep.

As we venture into the crater, we’ll be greeted by a diverse array of wildlife that calls this natural wonder home. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of the elusive rhinoceros, though their presence is not guaranteed. Nevertheless, the crater is teeming with permanent resident animals, thanks to its abundant water sources that provide sustenance throughout the year.

Our half-day game drive within the crater promises to be an extraordinary experience, offering close encounters with a variety of wildlife against the breathtaking backdrop of this ancient caldera. From majestic elephants to graceful antelopes and everything in between, the crater’s inhabitants are sure to captivate and inspire.

After our exhilarating game drive, we’ll ascend back to the crater rim, bidding farewell to this remarkable ecosystem. From there, we’ll make our way to Mto wa Mbu, where a delicious dinner awaits us at the Suricata Boma Lodge. As we reminisce about the incredible moments shared during our safari, we’ll retire for the night, cherishing the memories of our Tanzanian adventure.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

Following breakfast, we’ll venture to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its abundant flamingo population adorning the lake’s shores and its elusive tree-climbing lions, though sightings are rare.

Our game drive will offer ample opportunities to observe the park’s diverse birdlife, with luck granting us a glimpse of the iconic tree-climbing lions. We’ll also visit the hippo pool to observe these majestic creatures up close, and perhaps take a moment to appreciate the park’s hot springs amidst our wildlife viewing.

Throughout our game drive, we’ll have the chance to encounter a variety of animals, including buffaloes, wildebeests, warthogs, vultures, eagles, and monkeys, among others.
